Again a look from a S/S 2012 collection: Dior!

The focus is on the mouth, and the red lipstick shows "the way a girl would do a red lip today", said the fabulous Pat McGrath. There's a hint of eyeshadow, just enough to add some drama to the look, together with mascara applied only on the upper lashes. And it looks like a white pencil was used on the waterline to open up the eyes. Probably my favorite beauty tip.

To say that this collection is divine is an understatement. Again, the underwater theme is an inspiration source but it must be the most literal interpretation of all. And I mean it in the best way possible, the detailing is stunning. This is almost couture, isn't it?

My favorites were the dramatic all-black looks, even with a hint of white. The headpieces were also very editorial. I expect/hope to see them in quite a few spreads. And since we are talking about headpieces, the look in the last photo is my favorite. So dramatic, so beautiful!

Details: Chanel S/S 2012

As anticipated by other collections too, Chanel makes it clear that for next season, everyone's ideal in life fashion will be the mermaid. Sounds a bit off-track, but isn't this just wonderful. My favorite accessories were the pearls: worn in the hair, at the waist, or as iconic necklaces, if one can say even that about a necklace... And we have still to talk about the purses! But I'll just end my ramble here and leave you with the visuals.

Just ran into these photos, part of the lookbook for the Wildfox Resort 2011 collection, entitled A Place In The Sun. They remind me of summer, which is a good thing to remember about when autumn is just about to start. Ok, that phrase didn't make any sense, so just look again at the photos. They give you a warm feeling, no?
