Love her makeup

What you see above is a look from a S/S 2012 collection, namely Jason Wu. Where should I start from? It is one of my favorite collections for so many reasons, but especially for the spot-on makeup.

+ Makeup, Diane Kendal for M.A.C
+ Hair, Odile Gilbert for Kérastase
+ Skin, Sunday Riley for Sunday Riley Skincare
+ Nails, Renee Meyers for OPI

Jason Wu's inspiration was the work of contemporary artist KAWS and pop art from the fifties and nineties. This explains the bright red lip when it comes to makeup.

What was used:

+ skin: M.A.C Studio Finish concealer, smoothed over with Blot Powder; Powder Blush in Cubic (a muted, satin pink shade) on the lower apple of the cheeks; a bit of Iridescent Powder in Silver Dusk over cheekbones and the bridge of the nose.

+ eyes: M.A.C Fluidline in Blacktrack; no mascara; a sheer layer of M.A.C’s multipurpose Gloss Texture over lids.

+ lips: Outlining done with M.A.C. Pencil in Redd; Scarlet Ibis lipstick; M.A.C’s multitasking Pigment in Neo Orange on top.

I think this look would go oh-so-well for everyday wear. It's cool, even a bit on the preppy side. I simply love that it's somewhere in-between: not understated, not too out there... I can't wait to put it to the test! Would you try it out this fall?
