Calling all bloggers! What's your 2011 blog resolution?

Hello 2011! And hello you!

This year has just started and I have this feeling that it will be a great one. To celebrate this fresh beginning, I thought about treating you to the first chunk* of Friday Bloggers in 2011.

*If you're new to Friday Bloggers, feel free to browse through all the past editions: they are valuable and delightful compendiums in which we all share our opinions and experiences, learning from each other along the way. You can browse through the archives right here.

Whoa! I couldn't wait to finally start fresh: new years, new goals, whole new territories waiting to be conquered! Generally, during the first few weeks of January, I try to clear my mind a bit from the groggy decadence that were the winter holidays and put a few ideas in order. Then I sketch some goals in a blank page in my head, thinking about what I would want to accomplish, where I would like to go, what projects I would like to embark on or simply what I want to achieve. Then I push that paper somewhere back in my mind where I can mentally see it all the time.

This year though, I will share with you the goals that I have set for the blog in 2011. You can do the same too. Sometimes, writing down what you want makes you feel you have half achieved it.

Here are the things I wish to accomplish for my blog in 2011:

>> increase the number of personal style posts
>> switch blogging platform
>> dedicate more time to social interaction
>> more time dedicated to written posts instead of image heavy ones
>> gain more exposure

What are your blog resolutions for this year?

Want to read more? Here's some excellent advice from IFB, for those of you who haven't run into it yet.

  1. I want to network more (I already joined IFB to accomplish that), start working with companies, give my writing a more editorial edge and keep the personal stuff away from my blog.

  2. i pretty much have the same resolutions as you...i have to try to schedule separate time to blog and for homework, i usually try to cram them all in at the same time and end up tearing my hair out...i also need to get better at commenting and replying to comments right away :)

  3. @Julie: IFB is great for networking indeed! i love the editorial edge you want to give your blog, spice it up! xx

@Liana:After a while you get used to separate the blog from everything else (read homework, job). Just try to prioritize a little bit ;) xx
