When I was little I was absolutely convinced that pink and purple are a match made in color heaven. Then I grew up being totally disgusted only at the thought of seeing those two colors one near the other. But time flew by and well, let's just say I invented a method to incorporate both in a relatively decent looking (summer) outfit.
The pink tank top/dress is one of my favorite summer pieces, perfect for layering. I also own one in light grey which I wear a little more often. The shorts were bought because they were the only ones that fitted right. Purple was, for me, a natural choice over black or brown. The ribbon/belt also belongs to the shorts. I can't imagine life without wearing a scarf or various ribbons as belts.

I'd stamp the outfit with a whipped cream 'APPROVED' stamp. Most of the pictures will go in the 'Which I like' folder.

Funny you should mention being little and finding "pink and purple" to be "a match made in color heaven." When I was little my favorite ice-cream was grape and strawberry (purple and pink)so my mouth still waters when I see those colors together :)! Great outfit!
Yeah, I was not much of a fan of pink and purple either haha, but I love the way you've pulled it off. You definitely have to have the right attitude to work these colors! I love that you kept the outfit short so it's not overwhelming (as opposed to purple pants, haha). These photos are so fun and lighthearted - love them!!
