Rings

all photos: © Sweet Fancy Treat

Rings are my favorite pieces of jewelery. All in this picture are made from silver, except the Love one. That ring was almost a random acquisition: its gorgeous message proved impossible to ignore. I feel attached to it because it reminds me of positivity, faith and optimism. If only they had it in silver! Never mind though, I was happy enough to find it on sale; these days, I wear it on one hand and the silver ones on the other. Sometimes I wear it together with the ring on top of which it is standing in the above photo. Yes!

+++

Each ring is associated with a specific occasion. My favorite one (which I never take off and I've been wearing it since 2008) is the one you can see far right in the last photo. I find it superb! I almost have the feeling it belongs to my finger... it fits perfectly and is very smooth on the inner side.

The huge ring standing next to it  is something I've always coveted: the outrageous, over-decorated, enormous ring. I bought it at a jewelery fair where silver was sold almost at half price.

The snake ring has an impressive texture and I love it mostly for its design. I was constantly turning down all snake rings before I saw this one. Never say never!

What seems to be a pile of fine rings is one single ring and I must say, it is the funniest one! I always play little games with it to entertain myself, especially when I am waiting for something or I am extremely nervous. It was bought in Greece four years ago.

These are rings I wear on a regular basis... what piece of jewelry do you wear everyday?
Any favorites?

P.S. I must get some sleep now but I will be getting back to each and every one of your comments on the Ageless style post below as well as add to the lists. It developed so great, I love reading all of your opinions, they add value to the conversation! You are special!

I have a beautiful snake ring (it looks like the ones from the Slytherin ones in the Harry Potter films) which I bought a few years back in a little town.

I looove rings as well, I have many but they are on the small size, I do have one that looks like candy which my grand-uncle made for me.

I just forget to put them one sometimes, also, I want a huge exhuberant and completely ridiculous ring n_n.

Oohhhh I really REALLY love your rings! The big long ones the most! They're gorgeous! I have a ring my boyfriend gave me that's inscribed & I wear that nearly every single day :) because it's so sentimental xx

I love rings too. My favorite is a Made her Think gold one, and I probably wear it 4 days a week, even though it is huge! And I adore your rings, and your blog, found you on IFB!

I love chunky rings such as yours, and altough I'm not really faithful to any one piece of jewelry, I've been using quite a lot of a ring I made myself in a jewelry workshop

I love your rings! I'm a fan of really large ones with designs as well. My current favorite is this really large flower ring I got in my last trip to the US.

My 'everyday jewelry' however only consists of tiny gold pieces that I got since I was a child that I never take off even when I take a bath. :)

These rings are fabulous, I never really wear rings to be honest, I'm much more of a necklace girl, but I love how intricate these are and they way they show your personality through them xxx

@My Republic of Fashion, @Collette Osuna, @Manias de Benetti, @btd., @Anna, @Fashion Cappuccino, @Denise: Glad you like them, they are so priceless for me! ^_^

@Julie: You have a snake ring with a story too, how cool! Also, you grand-uncle made you a ring, how awesome is that? Haha, it is good that you want a huge & exuberant ring as you say. You'll see it will give you a lot of courage & inspire you to find new ways to express yourself.

@simplychic: As I was writing to Julie above, I think experimenting with rings is a great way of finding yourself, seeing what you like. I suppose it is because we involuntarily spend a lot of time looking at our hands during the day. Wearing expressive rings will boost your creativity!

@augustlovers: Aww, how sweet! Super-cool! Now that's a truly great ring!

@UB: My pleasure, I will!

@Brookelyn: How cool, I bet tha ring looks fabulous! Checked out your blog, it's cool! IFB is the best!

@Eli: Sorry to hear that... but maybe you'll find some equally cool rings one day, right? xoxo

@Wicked Halo: Yours is the greatest story! You made a ring yourself, now that's a very special piece of jewelry!

@raeny: Statement rings are such cool accessories! I love you never take rings off. I wouldn't take them off either but I can't take a bath with them, they are too massive; plus, I can't sleep well with rings on my fingers...

@Victoria: From this point of view, I am your exact opposite... I'm not so much of a necklace kind of girl even though I own a considerable number of necklaces... I wear them way too rarely. Thank you & kisses!

Gorgeous rings! I love wearing statement rings but I don't have any that I wear daily. I do have two Michael Kors watches and I wear one of them (either gold or silver) every day. My wrist feels naked without a watch now!

I love the snake ring the best! I have small hands, so it's really really hard to find rings that fit me, unless I get children's rings. That's why I don't wear rings that much nowadays. It's nice to have a ring that seems as if it belongs to your finger and your hand.

I had such a problem with wearing rings for years now. I just felt like I was suffocating when I had them on (yes, I know, another story for my shrinks, haha!) but this past year has changed my outlook on them. I love them big and chunky and if you can use them as a lethal weapon, even better ;)

I get crazy for certain pieces. Like now, I always wear this diamond encrusted heart I stole from mom (can't let it go) and a cuff bracelet my boy got me :)
