Fall 2010: pick your texture!

Know what? Let's forget about key pieces for a bit. Let's forget about strategic investments, that perfect coat, dress or skirt. And let's move towards what brings those pieces to life in the first place: their texture.

If you live in the northern hemisphere I'm sure you can't wait to wrap yourself up in cozy sweaters, scarves and wear faux fur: the feeling is incredible. You know what? Me too! I'd pick a pair of mittens similar to those from Rag&Bone and a furry bag as seen on the runway at Giles.
Surely, if you live in the southern hemisphere, you can look and feel just as great in lace, yes! (But just for the record, I'd switch places with you if this is the case, shh!)

The reason why I've chosen these exact textures is because they represent some sort of luxury which allows you to appreciate the fabric, the textile in itself or the fur (faux, please!) while still remaining on trend for Fall 2010. And if not everyone can afford head to toe runway looks, we sure afford statement pieces made from special, luxurious textures.

I need more cozy sweaters. I'm now living in my truste hoodie and a grey cardigan. Not super stylish but it's cozy and warm and I love them.

hey daiane! thanks for the birthday greet! :]
how was your relaxing weekend? hehe

i die for lace and fur! of course, i'll never be able to afford real fur coats so i'll just settle for faux instead. haha. although, i'm totally on the look out for some cozy knitwear for this fall/winter. i live in san francisco ... so it's a must for this coming up season.
