Stylin' girl: Florence Welch

Summer is the perfect time to make music (even) a bigger part of our lives. Concerts, festivals, you name it! Besides the outdoor action, I almost always tend to look back and start re-listening to older music. Even a one year time frame is enough to make something "old" in the our fast changing circumstances. I picked somewhere along the way the idea of listening to certain albums when I go, for example, on holiday. Or on a trip. A few days infused with a certain soundtrack makes it easier to remember those times after a while. Good vibes.

Florence and the Machine is sure to make some hard to forget tunes. I can't even decide to a couple of favorite tracks from the album "Lungs". They are all so great! Plus, the lyrics really mean something. The powerful voice is belongs to Florence Welch, who is also a character hard to forget. She transmits a specific vibe and almost all the time I have the impression she just came out of a painting! It must be because of her hair color. But not only that. Seeing her perform, that energy that she is capable of and her voice leading all the other sounds... a true artist. And a stylish girl, too! Just look at these collages. Some are studio shots, yes, but some others are from live appearances.

Here are some words about the music, taken from the official blog:
Her debut album ‘Lungs’ is made of harps, choirs, drums, elevator shafts, bits of metal, love, death, fireworks, string quartets, stamping, sighing, strange electronic wailing, lambs, lions, sick, broken glass, blood, moon, stars, drink, coffins, teeth, water, wedding dresses.. and the silences in between.

Last but not least, a video! No, it's not Dog days are over, and not even Rabbit Heart (both majors loves!), it's Cosmic Love. Magical.
