Stylin' girl: Anna Karina

This piece from the Stylin' girl... series features a film icon: Anna Karina. Her real name was Hanna Karin Bayer, but she adopted this stage name at the suggestion of none other than Coco Chanel. Anna started as a fashion model and made her way up gradually: the list of films she was in is incredibly long.
In a short time, Anna established herself as one of the top models in advertising and received a steady stream of work. One of them was a shoot for the magazine Elle. On the set she met the legendary Coco Chanel who asked her what she wanted to do with her life. When Anna explained that she wanted to be an actress, Coco asked her name. “Hanna Karin Bayer,” Anna replied. “You can’t possibly become an actress with a name like that.” By the time she left the shoot, Coco had rechristened her Anna Karina, which she became from then on. At first sight, Anna's posture and attitude stands out. Strangely or not, she reminds me a lot of Audrey Hepburn. Searching for old photos of her, it became obvious she had lots of style and attitude back then: all her photos transmit an incredible joie de vivre. I tried so hard to make a relevant selection, so enjoy these collages:
