An Impromptu Outing: Jump For It!

Warm days are the best. Really, I've been wearing skirts mostly for the sake of the weather. Haha, kidding. Oh, and with tights in eye-popping colors. Anyhow, isn't it fun to read all over the Internet about how gorgeous the wheather is getting round the planet? It's  good to have this minor entertainment, thinking how many sad things happen lately. Also! Good: shops full of latest trends, people wearing colors more often, flowers everywhere, trees blossoming. It's amazing. We're alive and seasons have changed. Days are getting longer and hopes are high. Doesn't it feel amazing?

Let's Go Tell Them They Are Out Of Date

Hello, I'm back! And it seems that so is Spring. Very, very warm wheather and everything is great (read: awesome). Just wanted to check in, I'll be back later.
Oh, this photo is by Gordon Parks. Unknown source, but lovely, right?

One Winter Later...

Hey, green is taking over the plants and trees again! I guess it's called spring, right? I've waited for it for so long it seems unlikely that it's really here. But it is. And even more, it is so warm outside, that wearing the lightest of coats is unnecessary. Sure, it's not always for t-shirts either, but at noon it feels quite pleasant.
I am taking a couple of days off during this weekend, but make sure you check in on Monday as I have great plans for this blog... Normal posting will resume then. See ya!

_______________Spacebar_____________

Rebecca Turbow's works are mostly monochromatic. She used to focus on turquoise, but now she does everything in shades of grey. These pieces are part of her Fall 09 collection. I find them to be nearly irresistible, some sort of chic simplicity... reminiscent of the 60s, but brought here, in the modern day.

Actually, Rebecca's idol is Andre Courreges. Now that explains a lot, including several cuts and shapes. Also, it's Hussein Chalayan who is her inspiration source from our times. Still, Rebecca insists that her true inspiration is New York City. If we add things up, it is quite an interesting mix resulting from all these, isn't it? Gotta love it.

For her designs, Rebecca uses fabrics ordered from NYC’s very own Garment District. This Fall 09 collection incorporates a great deal of cotton, wool and silk with some delicate details going on. Very comfy, and suitable to be worn both in daytime and for a special evening outing.
