Come On, Vogue...

So today I was surprised to acknowledge being in fact a tiny bit psyched about The September Issue movie coming out soon. Sssh! I got my first Vogue in 2006. Coincidentally or not, the September issue... I was so over-the-top, unreasonably happy it's embarrasing to remember. I suspect it was this what made me obsessed with everything Balenciaga for a while... it was all over the issue! Later on, I read The Devil Wears Prada, then saw the movie and so on. But nothing compared to that Vogue issue.

Today I took it out of the mag pile (one day I'll drown in them) and went through it again. Three years have passed and you couldn't tell! It was the Marie Antoinette issue featuring a Kirsten Dunst interview and numerous photos of her wearing fabulous gowns. Another highlight was Natalia Vodianova sporting fierce red hair. And of course, lots and lots of other photos. Because it's nearly impossible to sum it all up, here are some which would make it to the top of my list. I mean, from approximately 750 pages, it's hard to pick.

Here we go with parts from two different ads...

... a few from the Designer Collections Nordstrom series that are hard not to love:

... some Coco Rocha:

... Marie Antoinette:

... and Natalia Vodianova:

Finally, the two absolute favorites. I suspect they are timeless, but will take out this issue again in three years from now to test my theory...

Finally, just to feel more Vogue-ish, please do yourself a favor and listen to this 5 sec ringtone. IT IS called VOGUE, after all.

Sweet treats,
Daiane
