In The Land Of Bluebirds

When seeing these photos, I thought something like Hey, here's Peter Pan! But in the most admiring of the ways. It's definitely not an easy task to put up a men's collection with such a bold approach. Julia Kim is a fashion designer not afraid to put her audience to the test. Very original combination of garments and some innovating pieces. I also appreciate the way accessories are incorporated into the looks. It's way too often that they are neglected, when they can add a special something to the whole appearance. I would have liked to see a close-up on those shoes. They seem to have something interesting going on, may there be even a change in the material which is used? Hm. Also, a very dramatical interpretation of the classical three piece suit in the last photo.
I was even thinking that the entire style of these outfits would look just right on Patrick Wolf. I so mentioning him every other post, but he's one singer able to transmit a message not only through music, but also through his appearance.
About Julia Kim, this is what I found out: she studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Fashion Department, in Antwerpen, Belgium. Practical experiences at Dries van Noten, Raf Simon, Central St. Martins in London. No wonder her designs are so elaborated.
