D Guide to perfect hair

I've put together a hair guide the same way I did it some time ago for manicure. Hope you'll find it useful.

Gentlemen Prefer Blondes?

70% of the women on the planet have dark hair. Actually, most of the population with non-european origins has dark hair. Except the North of Europe, where most people are blonde. It's said that blonde hair makes peolpe more beautiful or attractive or "smart". But who can actually tell the truth? In fact this, as many others could be considered just a trend.

People generally expect much from the shampoo they choose. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to choose between a very good shampoo and a worse one. A small price, nice smell and lots of bubbles; this is what people generally look at when buying thier sahmpo.. However, bubbles actually have little to no importance in setting the quality of a certain shampoo. We've all seen the TV commercials where people take a shower or a bath surrounded by mountains of foam. These images have given a wrong image, making people associate foam with the cleaning power and quality of a shampoo. The truth is many bubbles are the result of using a larger quantity of shampoo than required. Also, there's the perfume; this is another element which is not essential when evaluating a certain type of shampoo. It's better to take a close look at your hair to examine its health after using a shampoo for a few times. If it lacks shine or it feels too dry choose another shampoo.

What can damage your hair:

- pollution and tabacco are some major sources of antioxidant agents which affect the structure of your hair.
- unadequate head&hair treatments, like powerful hair drying&coloring.

Shampooing (I'm sure you darlings know all this basic stuff, so please don't feel offended if I'm explaining all from the beginning):

First of all, make sure you wet your hair using warm or slightly cold water, because hot water can dry your hair. After this, apply a small quantity of shampoo in your palms, distribute it equally on both hands. Then apply the shampoo on the scalp using your fingertips. The main objective of shampooing is cleaning the scalp, not deteriorating the hair, so give the scalp a delicate massage. Allow the bubbles to get all over your hair when rinsing. It's not necessary to repeat this procedure, only if you feel your hair is really dirty or oily.

After making sure all the shampoo is rinsed, apply the conditioner, the same way you did with the shampoo. Apply it on the entire lenght of your hair, from the roots all the way to the ends. Don't massage it on the scalp only if you feel it is dry. Comb the hair to distribute the conditioner equally. Give it some time, for the hair to get softer. Rinse it extremely well, it is very important do to so. Your hair is really clean only when you feel this when getting your fingers through it, from the scalp to the ends. Some specialists even reccomend rinsing hair using cold water. The only thing I can say about this is brrr...! However, I personally try to use colder water for the whole process than I generally use for showering.
Occasionaly, you should use only shampoo to clean your hair, leavind the conditioner aside. If you do this, the hair has time to renew; for it, it will be like a breath of fresh air. For those who have thin hair, it is recommended that you use a shampoo containing proteins and a conditioner with light formula. Curly hair may sometimes look dried out, so it will need intensive care and hydration products.

Bonus treat:

Honey & olive oil nourishing mask: What you need are 2 tablespoons of live oil and 2 of honey. Mix them together and add the juice of one lemon. Put it gently on your hair and wait for 20 minutes. Then rinse carefully, et voila! Your hair will be growing faster while having a natural shine.

Super Do's:

Make sure you take really good care of the ends of your hair especially on winter. Use special products for the ends or leave-in products. It's not just you who is cold, the hair suffers too. For the summer period, protect hair by wearing hats or tie a colorful scarf around your head; stylish and hair-healthy!

Sweet treats,
